Fargo’s Pit BBQ

Established in 2000 by Alan Caldwell & Belender Wells, Fargo’s Pit BBQ has become a favorite for BBQ lovers all across the Lone Star State. Remnant of Nawlins

1416 Groesbeck Street, Bryan, TX

In August 2005, as the Gulf Coast braced for the impacts of oncoming Hurricane Katrina, Korey Thomas and his family fled New Orleans and headed west. They managed to find their way to Bryan-College Station a couple days later, receiving a warm welcome from one of the friendliest communities in America. They decided to stick around for awhile, and now 15 years later they’re still here sharing the flavors of their home city with residents and visitors in Aggieland.

The Remnant of Nawlins is a must-try in Bryan, offering cajun favorites like poboys, crawfish, gumbo, and more. They even offer seasonal items throughout the year, like King Cake on select days during Mardi Gras.

Chris is the Destination Marketing Manager for Destination Bryan. Originally from North Texas, Chris has called Bryan-College Station home since 2014. Chris is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University’s Recreation, Park & Tourism Science program.
