C&J Barbeque got its start in 1981 when Chip and Jo Manning purchased a convenience store that catered to weary travelers and everyday folk. Upon opening, a barbecue pit was added, and by 1997, the shop converted to a deli-style BBQ restaurant. Today, over 2,200 pounds of barbecue are served daily across all three of their restaurants in Bryan-College Station.
MUST-HAVE DISH: Aggie Special with 1/2 lb. Brisket, 1/4 lb. Sausage, Block of Cheese, Chunk of Onion, Pickle Spear, and Bread.

J Cody’s Steak & Barbeque

Opened by J. Cody Whitten in 2001, this establishment offers a grand vegetable buffet, alongside a variety of grilled, smoked, and fried meats. It’s said that there’s no secret to J.
