Blackwater Draw Brewery

Blackwater Draw is a craft brewery & taproom at the north end of Historic Downtown Bryan that also happens to be home to one of the best food trucks in Aggieland, Blackwater Bites. They serve classic gastropub favorites, with some of the best fries you’ll find in the Brazos Valley. They often have live music, too, which of course pairs great with their signature brews. Their most popular beer is a coffee porter, called the Contract Killer, but we also recommend the Shut Up Meg, a Mexican vanilla stout, if you’re lucky enough to catch it on tap!
Messina Hof Winery & Resort

Bonus Spot: Taqueria El Tio
911 North Bryan Avenue
One might say this taqueria is definitely more of the “hole-in-the-wall” variety, but trust us when we say you’ve got to make a stop here. Their tortas, tacos al pastor, and fajita tacos are some of the best & most authentic you’ll find in Bryan-College Station.
Know Before You Go: The restaurant is really just one big patio. You’ll walk through a gate, and order from a window on the side of the building. There’s no menu posted, so you just have to know what to get. That’s what we’re here for! Your options are tortas, tacos, or quesadillas. We recommend the tacos al pastor, beef or chicken fajita tacos, or the chicken quesadilla. You also absolutely cannot go wrong with a torta filled with whichever meat you prefer.
No need to be intimidated if you’re not fluent in Spanish – this writer isn’t, and I love this place! Just be polite, and if all else fails… order a quesadilla and a coke!
Now head outside & soak up the sunshine with a tasty bite and a refreshing drink or two! For more restaurants with outdoor seating, click here.
