Check out a few of the 5 star reviews below from some of Yelp’s reviewers:
“Wow!!! The food is AMAZING! I got the smothered turkey wing, yams, dressing, and it comes with cornbread. My wife got the same except cabbages instead of dressing. I also got the peach cobbler. EVERYTHING was on point and didn’t need any seasoning!!! It rang up to $26.50. This place reminds me of my grandma cooking. I’m making the drive from houston back here because it’s THAT good” – ★★★★★

“Bottom Line:
Great flavorful home cooking!!! And the price won’t pinch your wallet. Best part is: super friendly folks working there.” – ★★★★★

This place deserves 5 stars all around and If you haven’t been here , I’m going to let you know why you should!!!
Service 5 stars- we were greeted with a friendly hello from the 2 women behind the counter serving the food. They were outgoing and welcoming , reminded me of going home for a meal. You can also tell it’s a small family business you’re supporting , which I love.
Atmosphere 5 stars – there’s something homey about a small little restaurant with caring people . I loved the cafeteria style serving , and everything inside seemed perfectly in place.
Food 5 STARS!!!!- the food was out of this world , and super reasonably priced . We went on a Saturday ( so they had bbq for the weekend ) and I ordered a 2 meat plate , 2 sides , with all the helpings , and it was under 13.00. Insane . Also, every piece of food on my plate was outrageously delicious . The yams in particular were my favorite , never have I had such good yams in my 20 years on this planet.
Please, do yourself a favor and hit this spot for some good soul food, or bbq on weekends!!!! – ★★★★★
