Treasured Moments, Carnegie History Center
This sculpture — entitled “Treasured Moments” — depicts Andrew Carnegie reading to 2 children. Created by artist Lynn Haste, this piece was installed in 2007 outside the Carnegie History Center.
In 1902, Andrew Carnegie awarded the residents of Bryan a $10,000 grant to construct a library. The Greek Revival style library now houses the Carnegie History Center. Our Carnegie Library is one of only a handful remaining in Texas.
