Event Submission Guidelines

Destination Bryan’s events calendar showcases events happening in Bryan, Texas, including concerts, sporting events, festivals, temporary exhibits, live theatre, markets, and culinary experiences.
What types of events are we looking for?
The Destination Bryan events calendar is aimed at visitors seeking leisure activities that they can enjoy while visiting Bryan, Texas. Put yourself in the visitor’s shoes and ask yourself, "Would I do this while on vacation?"
In order to ensure that calendar events listed on destinationbryan.com are relevant to visitors, Destination Bryan uses the following guidelines. Please read the following guidelines before submitting your event.
Requirements for Consideration
- Local Event
The event must take place within Bryan, Texas, on Texas A&M University’s campus, or be of significant visitor interest (at the discretion of Destination Bryan). - Open to the Public
Events should be open to the general public (free or ticketed). Private or member-only events will not be listed. - Recreational or Cultural Focus
Events should showcase the best of Bryan, Texas and align with our mission and values. We place emphasis on events that highlight local gastronomy, outdoors & nature, the arts, well-being, and our region’s heritage & culture. - Travel-Worthy Appeal
Priority will be given to events with high visitor appeal and those that best present a compelling reason to travel and stay overnight in Bryan, TX. Events should appeal to visitors traveling to the Bryan area.
Examples of events that are likely to be approved:
- Live music
- Markets
- Festivals
- Art Gallery showcases
- Culinary experiences
Ineligible Events
- Events Without Visitor Appeal
Non-visitor events including auctions, fundraisers, clinics, seminars, school activities, religious ceremonies or functions, educational workshops, politically affiliated campaigns or events, and classes of limited appeal to travelers.
These types of events are often welcome on the following community websites:
- Commercial or Sales-Oriented Events
Any commercial or sales function which simply promotes the business or its products will not be included. Events whose primary purpose is to sell the products or services of a particular business cannot be posted in the calendar. Examples include product demonstrations, business expos, and seminars.
Events not likely to be approved include, but aren't limited to:
- Club Meetings
- Bake Sales
- Blood Drives
- Educational Seminars/Classes
- Political Events
- Summer Camps/Weekly Camps (Only drop-in classes have the potential to be eligible for the calendar)
- Business networking and training events
- Retail sales
- Job/education/health fairs
- Networking events
- Fundraisers/benefits/galas
- Casting calls/auditions
- Permanent exhibitions/ongoing classes
Submitting your event
If your event meets our guidelines, fill out the short form on our Submit Your Event page.
- Before entering your event, please search the calendar to make sure it isn't already listed. If you find that your event is listed, but has inaccurate information, please email updated information to marketing@destinationbryan.com
- Event submission must include a full description of the event and what visitors can expect.
- Events must be submitted a minimum of seven working days in advance of the event's start date.
