Tips for Visiting The Farmers' Market

Arrive Early
The Farmers' Market is every Saturday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM, but it's worth arriving early to get the best selections from vendors. There's also live music on the first Saturday of each month, and always plenty of samples to try! The market usually starts to get busy around 9:30 AM, and sometimes (depending on foot traffic) vendors will begin to pack up shortly before noon.

Bring a Tote Bag
You never know what you'll find at the Farmers' Market (and what you might be going home with)! We suggest bringing a reusable tote bag with you so that it's easy to carry your purchases around with you while you shop. You could end up with anything from vegetables to jars of honey — It's best to come prepared!

Come with Coffee
There are several coffee shops nearby the Farmers' Market, so it's easy to get a cup of joe on your way there. The closest is Tavo Coffee Co., located catty-corner from the market. There's also Harvest Coffee, which is a short walk down Main Street, or Polite Coffee Roasters, less than a five-minute drive away.

Make it a Shopping Day
Historic Downtown Bryan has a lot of boutiques and antique stores to enjoy! After visiting the Farmers' Market, head down Main Street and Bryan Avenue for even more shopping. You'll find unique treasures at antique stores like Corner of Time and Alice's Attic, home decor and gifts at Bird's Nest, Old Bryan Marketplace, and Sparrow Lane, and cute clothes at Cowgirl Country Club Boutique, Sweet Repeat Resale, and Stage Left.

Down the street from the Farmers' Market there are three places with locally-made spirits: Blackwater Draw Brewing Co. has craft beer on tap, Hush & Whisper Distilling Co. offers grain-to-glass craft spirits, and Lonestar Meadery specializes in locally-made mead.

Go More Than Once
The Farmers' Market has a lot of vendors that rotate throughout the year, so there are usually new booths to check out every weekend. You can also find Farmers' Market vendors (along with other community artists) at First Friday, which happens on the first Friday of every month.
Feeling hungry after your visit to the Farmers' Market? There are a lot of great local restaurant nearby where you can enjoy a meal. For breakfast and brunch, head to 3rd on Main, Station 36, or Rx Pizza (trust us, their brunch pizzas are delicious).
If you want something a little lighter than a full meal, both Zeitman's Grocery Store and Sunbeam Bagels have delicious handmade bagels and sandwiches, and La Espiga Dorada has great pastries!
